Reignite Your Imagination
Do you feel stuck? Do you have a hard time imagining things getting better in your life? Do you have a difficult time knowing what you want?
This might be due to trauma that you have experienced.
Any type of trauma affects the nervous system. If you have experienced trauma in childhood your nervous system has created patterns to keep you safe. However, as you grow up these patterns of protection are no longer serving you, and are actually causing you pain and suffering.
Are you anxious, angry, depressed, spend a lot of time sick, have difficulty staying in relationships; are you unsatisfied? Are you never able to find a way out, or to even see how you can create a more fulfilled life for yourself?
These symptoms may mean that your nervous system is not functioning appropriately for you to have the life that you desire. “Without imagination there is no chance to envision a better future, and trauma affects the imagination.”
You can create a new relationship with your nervous system by building trust, and strength through nervous system education, visualization and somatic movement practices it is possible to create the life that you desire, it is possible to reignite your imagination.
Can you remember what you loved to play as a little kid?
Did you dance, sing, draw, paint, run, swing, bike?
What was it that you loved?
You can use that memory or those feelings to help ignite your imagination and to begin the journey to reprogramming your nervous systems responses to stress.
